Backpocket is a brand new app that’s revolutionizing how we share, split, and socialize our payments (think: no more fights over bills at dinner, an easy way to split rent or utilities). It’s an exciting time to get in the door of this JM venture and help shape the future of what will surely become a mass market digital product. That’s where you come in.

Are you a true-blue full-stack dev, ready to be part of a founding product team? Josephmark’s most promising pre-launch ventures are ready for you. If you have a background in Django and a track record in strong decision making, you might just be spending your 2021 working in one of our venture tech teams. Extra points go to enthusiastic mentors, people who sink their teeth in and own their work, and people who are in a similar time zone to the team in Brisbane.

Note: For this role, we’re got two spots to fill!

  • in the habit of skilling up in new tech/software architecture
  • a process-improver
  • able to see the big and little picture
  • a FE and BE programmer
  • a team player and mentor
  • familiar with database types (no-sql, relational) and optimising queries

Better products begin with diverse teams. We strongly (see bold and underline usage) encourage women, and members of underrepresented communities to apply to become developers at JM. If you think you’re the one for us, fill out the form below.

P.S. If you’re reading this and thinking, “Hmm. I only tick a few of those boxes so I’m not going to apply.” – hear us out. We all learn on the job at JM, and we’ll be looking much more deeply at your attitude and aptitude than at the boxes you tick. If the role feels like the one, then go ahead and bite the bullet. What have you got to lose?
