Backpocket is looking for their social media and community manager, could it be you? We’re a recently launched social payments app. We’re transforming the way friends split, share and keep track of expenses. The Backpocket app allows you and your friends to chat and make plans, with the added features of being able to split expenses, send money and keep a running tab between a group. Perfect for a night out, organising share house expenses or even a group trip away. We’ll be the first app offering this service in Australia. Our customer base is young, active and very social people, so we think the social media and community manager is going to be a key hire for the business.
You'll be helping us launch the Backpocket brand. We need someone who is at home with organic social and has what it takes to grow the following from zero. You'll spend your time posting and engaging on Instagram and TikTok, as well other social channels.
You can work with our designer to develop the assets required, you'll write the captions, schedule the posts and engage with our followers and the community to get some organic growth flowing. Since we're a small team and a start-up, it's likely you'll work across some other marketing channels too, be it testing partnerships, PR, digital or offline channels. This is a role that would suit someone looking to get experience across the entire marketing mix and grow within a company.
