Josephmark is in an exciting phase of rapid growth as a company, doubling in size over the past 18 months. Our growth trajectory means we’re looking to appoint a remote-friendly Creative Director to head up the design team in Australia.

You will oversee and guide the ideation and execution of original, conceptual and systematic design approaches. You love the tension of balancing contemporary visual culture with tech-driven strategies and commercial objectives.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, equity and flexible working hours. We prefer this position to be in close proximity to our Brisbane office but are open to fully remote applicants who can align with Brisbane (AEST) time and for cross-collaboration projects, LA (PST) time zones.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve worked on at JM? My first project at JM was Tammy Fit’s 8 Week Challenge. The mix of tech, marketing and operations requirements was incredibly challenging.
How long have you been in the industry for? 21 years… but let’s keep that a secret. I have a technical background: before starting at JM I’d been in IT executive roles, owned my own startup and consulted too.
What’s the best thing about working at JM? The team, and how people respect each other.
What’s the worst thing about working at JM? Most of the time, we are doing something new and innovative – and when something’s new, it doesn’t have a process. The absence of that clarity does make the work harder.
What’s something people might not know about being a Head of Delivery at JM? Heads of delivery don’t know all the answers… but let’s also keep this a secret.
What advice do you have for anyone looking to do what you do? In roles like this, you are responsible for the delivery, but YOU are not the one delivering anything. You need to trust people, empathise and be a real team player.
